January running: Preparing for my first marathon

January was my comeback month. I had been out of the game for 3 weeks in November due to injury and 3 weeks in December due to sickness. Running Tokyo Marathon as a serious race had become a suicidal mission, but running it just for fun would be something impossible too, as I know I’ll be pulled into the racing spirit once the start is given. So January was a month to run as much mileage as possible without getting too tired.
Fortunately things ran smoothly. Three good races without running all out have given me back the confidence I need to run Tokyo. Not close to ready, but I should be strong enough to at least give it a try.
The new goal: Break 3 hours in my first marathon
